1971 Mercedes 280 SE 3,5 Convertible

silver with blue leather and blue soft-top

This car came from the wine country of Southern California and it is in remarkable condition.

It is one of the last 3.5 convertibles ever produced. We did get the Mercedes data card and all numbers checked to be correct and matching, including the engine.

Actual mileage shows 24,724 but we have no way of verifying if it is correct or not. She sure drives like a very low mileage car. Brake pedal also shows almost no wear.

The car was always silver and has been re-painted in the same color (180G) a few years ago. Paint still shows stunning and barely has any imperfections at all. The chrome is in excellent condition as well.

The soft-top has been replaced but is fairly new and in great shape.

Most of the rubber and weather stripping is in very good condition.
The only flaw we found was the rubber on the chrome bumper shows some small nicks.

5 new Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires 205/70R14 tires were installed recently.

The interior looks very nice and could even be original. The leather seats show really original. We think it could be the first set.

The wood shows fantastic and has no flaws at all. Even the VDO Kienzle clock keeps the accurate time.

The steering wheel is in great condition.

The correct Becker Europa TR radio is still in place.

We had the car inspected and the undercarriage looks as nice as the rest of the car.
There are no signs of any kind of accidents or rust anywhere.
Very nice trunk floor as well.

AC was just serviced and blows cold air.

This is truly an unbelievable 3,5 Convertible. It looks and runs really stunning.

We also have a superb 280 SE Convertible in silver with black interior - if the 3,5 is out of your price range.
